Terms
LoreScroll is a free web app for browsing Wikipedia articles as a swipe feed. By using it you agree to these terms.
Where the content comes from
- Accounts are only for saving progress and privately sending letters to friends. Everything else works without one.
- Give a real email you control, keep your password private, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else used your account. One account per person.
- You can delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected] from the email address on your account, or use Delete account in the You tab.
- We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, is used to harm others, or stays unconfirmed for 7 days.
- You can only send letters to people who accepted your invite. There is no public directory, user search or follower system.
- A letter is message text (up to 280 characters, plain text, no links) and/or one card, night or clip. Letters cannot be unsent; you can delete them from your own view.
- You are responsible for what you write. Your letters stay yours; you give LoreScroll only the permission needed to store and deliver them to the friend you chose.
- harass, threaten, bully, or send hateful, sexual, or violent content to anyone, or anything involving minors in a sexual way;
- impersonate others, or share someone's private information;
- send spam, try to get around the no-links rule, or use letters to advertise;
- create accounts automatically, guess passwords, or get around blocks, rate limits or bans;
- try to break, overload or scrape the site or its API.

Card text comes from Wikipedia and is licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. Every card names its article and links to it on Wikipedia.

Pictures come from Wikimedia Commons. Each file has its own author and license, shown on its Commons file page. Some trailer cards show the YouTube thumbnail instead.

Trailers are YouTube embeds. Watching them is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. LoreScroll does not host them and is not affiliated with the studios.

Clip captions are complete sentences taken from the Wikipedia article. Clips are silent for now; a few older clips carry AI narration, and every clip says so at the end.

LoreScroll is independent. Not endorsed by or affiliated with Wikipedia or the Wikimedia Foundation.

Accuracy
Wikipedia is written by volunteers and can be wrong or out of date. Check the article before relying on it. If a card looks wrong, use Report a card.
Mature topics and age
The feed leans toward horror, folklore, crime and disasters, and some cards describe death and violence. LoreScroll is not meant for children under 13. You must be 13 or older to create an account.
